AKASHA means infinite space
where there are all the possiblities.
This album was recorded with improvisation
when the musicians met for first time, and created the vibes together.

Beck & Fontenot met in Jeju Island, South Korea.
Jeju is a beautiful volcanic island at a southern tip of South Korea, where there are still wildness in nature.
They met at a small bar in Jeju City, and John was playing drum on that night.
When Beck saw him playing, she instantly felt that she wanted to record something with him.
So they did. They went to a studio after a few days, and started to play music together.
And the engineer couldn’t press stop button until they finished playing about 30 minutes.
So They are releasing the First album on the July 10,2020.
They have a special connection that they understand each other so well,
so even though they improvise the whole thing, it sounds like they have been practicing that song.

Beck & Fontenot 백정현과 John Fontenot 은 2019년 제주에서 만났다.
존이 친구들과 연주를 하던 바에서 연주를 하는 모습을 처음 본 백정현은
단번에 그를 알아보고 함께 앨범을 녹음 하기를 제안하였다.
며칠 후 친구의 녹음실에서 다시 만난 둘은 연주를 시작하였고,
30분 가량을 멈추지 않고 연주한 원테이크 녹음을 앨범으로 발매하기로 하였다.
이렇게 해서 결성된 Beck&Fontenot 은 굉장히 특별한 음악적인 교감을 가지고 있다.
아무 말을 하지 않아도 서로의 연주를 너무나 잘 이해하고 있기에
이들은 즉흥연주를 해도 마치 오랜시간 연습을 한 것 같은 음악을 들려준다.
